Students stories

What one father had to say about his sons training

My son who was in his mid teens and has Autism, he had been training at a another club for couple of years and we were been  charged a small fortune, but he had got up to his Brown belt, but during this time his club had changed styles twice, which found very odd and our son was losing interest as he wasn’t learning  anything.

Then we were told by another student who had left about Tai Jutsu Leeds and our son asked if could go and we happily obliged, very was such a difference  from his other club, even though I haven’t ever done a martial art before I could see the difference.

It was so much more organised and disciplined and our son loved it from the start and even though his new instructors knew that he had been very poorly taught before they never said it and let him keep wearing his brown till he graded.

Since then he’s learnt  so much break falls, throws locks, sparring  and how to kick correctly and much more and he really love it and it really brought him out of his shell.

I really would recommend  it to anyone J.D

The change in my Daughter

My Daughter had been at another martial art club and even though she got to Orange belt with them, she still was getting bullied at the primary school by a group of girls and her school wasn’t a great deal of help.

We had hoped that taking here to this club that it would make a difference, but this club seem to be more bothered about money than training and it seemed to have to grade all  time and all we seemed to do was pay money.

At first we didn’t  know what to do, as she was going to high school in less then a year, but luckily enough one of the other parents told us about Tai Jutsu Leeds, so we took her down and we loved it, it was  totally different  from her other club they pushed her harder than ever before, with exercise and techniques and the harder it was the more she loved it and she seemed more happy than she had in a long time.

But went it came time for High school, she started to worry again and so she would go to school we bribed her with a new phone, which seemed to do the job, but the gang of girl from her old primary school were there at the same school.

She managed to keep out of their way for the best part of two weeks, but unlucky these girls cornered her on a stair case landing and they decided to start again and this time they tried to take her new phone,

This was one step to far for her, she show these girls what she had learnt in training, lets just say these girls wont dare do this again to her, I was so proud of her, at first the school wasn’t very happy with her, but after I explained and mentioned about attempted robbery and that the police should be involved they backed down.

I know this shouldn’t have to happen , but I so glad for Sensei Sean training for my  Daughter so well lB

We’re so proud of this young lady, Sensei Sean

Football my First Love

I have always loved football from been a child, and started playing in the Sunday league as adult, but when it used to get rough, I used to back down, I just didn’t need the hassle.

But there was just this one guy from this team we used to play and he would go out of the way to make my life hell at ever game he played against us, it was going that bad I thought about missing the games with this guys team.

But I remembered one of the guys at work telling me about a martial art club he was training at and I thought what the hell, I got nothing to lose, so it gave in ago with Tai Jutsu Leeds and I loved it, I have worked up to Orange belt after two years of training and I know it doesn’t seem a high grade but one of these grading was a two day one of 4 hours each day, which is more than most Black Belt at other clubs do.

I still love my football and recently ran in to my not so nice friend from the other team which  I told you about, but this time I didn’t back down and the more I ignored him the more he got annoyed him.

So eventually he loosed it and openly pushed me over, I did a forward roll and came up in a fighting stance and put him on his back, we both got sent off, but the Ref came over after the game and said , he loved what I did and understood why I did it and other guy deserved what he got, but did  still had to send me off.

I don’t ever get any hassle from this guy anymore at any of our games since.

But Football my first love and Martial Art a close second D. T

Our old Pharmacist Student

When I was young lad I had  very bad stammer and didn’t like to look at people face when I talked. And this followed me in to adulthood.

After university I became a pharmacist and had to deal with the public  and I thought with this problem was with me for the rest of my life, but surprisingly, I picked the Martial Arts as a hobby and I am so grateful for picking Tai Jutsu Leeds as the more I trained I built up my confidence and at first I didn’t notice, but other people did, that I started to look at people faces as I talk and my stammer started reducing and now days most don’t even notice it.

I am so much more confidence in myself and at work even with some of my awkward  customers and this all due to my training with you guys.

Thanks Guys and Sensei Sean  J.A.G

My Brilliant Grand Daughter

Our beautiful grand daughter has live with us for most of her life and at six she started training with Tai Jutsu Leeds, which is nothing usual for most children, but our little girl had a few  medical problems such as epilepsy and was also losing her sight, but she never let it get in the way.

She won so many national and regional competitions and over these many years, she has reached her brown belt, which is a very rare event with Tai Jutsu Leeds as training with them is that hard.

She now is a beautiful young lady of eighteen and thanks to the training received with Tai Jutsu Leeds she now has the  confidence to live life to the full even with her sight loss and when she come back to Leeds she still trains.

Were so very proud of this young lady and  I know she will make a great Black Belt in the future Sensei Sean
